For future references, if you have stomach ulcers, cayenne pepper (in pill form/from the health food store) is known to cure them almost immediately. $10.00 per bottle- they call it "the miracle pill". (Hope you found the help you needed in the meantime.)

If you are desperate financially

1) Cut your expenses. buy nutritious food but get rid of
cable-tv, cell phones, newspapers and magazines, gym memberships. You may have to fight with customer service to do a prorated refund.

2) Sell some possessions to raise money. You don't need TV, stereo, couches etc. However, don't sell anything of sentimental value. The rest you can always buy again.

3) Look for a job. Don't look for just any job, that's the mistake most people make. Read "What Color is your Parachute" by Richard Bolles from the public library.

4) Read http://goodnewsforyou.tripod.com and pray to Jesus and ask him to guide you.

Need rational advice on a financial situation

My partner is currently in a labor lawsuit and is due a substantial amount of money.  The case is very strong (the lawyer took her on contingency), but the trial isn't scheduled until early next year.  It has gone on for over a year already because of a backed up court system, and we have run out of our savings.  I run my own kids gymnastics program and also coach at a local gym facility.  I would like to take out a $10,000 loan to pay off a debt and keep the rest as a cusion for slow business months.  The problem is that I have absolutely ZERO credit history and I am finding it difficult and very confusing to try and sort through what my options are.  Up to this point I have been unable to find a co-signer.

I suppose you could say I'm looking for an angel investor.  I understand that risk is involved, so I'd be willing to pay higher interest on the loan, and even put my car up for collateral if necessary.  I would like to make it a win/win situation--I'd get the money I need, and you'd get a good return on your investment.

I'd also like general feedback about different options that I might have because like I said before, it is all very confusing to me, and I don't want to be scammed.

Very ill, hungry, scared, and almost homeless

Dear Angels,

Iam a forty-four year old, divorced woman who was laid off a great job in December, just after finding out that I needed surgery on my shoulder and feet to correct the very painful and debilitating causes of arthritis. I am currently working at a restaurant and have been actively seeking a position in my area of expertise for seven months now. My unemployment has run out, I was not able to pay my COBRA, so I have lost my health insurance. Since losing my health insurance, I am not able to get my necessary daily prescriptions. One of the effects of being without my medications has caused the return of my stomach ulcers, which I was just in the hospital for because they are bleeding. The two ways to combat my ulcers is by medication and eating - two things which I am not able to afford at this time. My apartment complex has filed for eviction and they are coming to repo my car - which is the means by which I go to work and make what little money I am able. Any type of advice and assistance would be greatly appreciated and repaid.
